During your ‘Face The Nation Interview, you state, “Catholics believe the Pope is Jesus Christ on earth”. The Bible affirms Christ is risen. Were it not so, Easter would be a myth, and our faith totally futile. The Bible also states that there is ONE God and ONE mediator: Christ. Finally, the book of Hebrews is all about the privilege of Christians to approach and have directly access to God in Christ — not through any church potentate, regardless how exalted or humble. Please provide some scriptural (Biblical) reference that states that any mortal (including the Pope) is Christ on earth. Secondly, please give me the specific Biblical mandate that validates the veneration (worship) of canonized mortals. Thank you, and God bless you.
