Governor Cuomo and Mayor DiBlasio are so Liberal that they find it easy to abuse the Catholic Church and especially Cardinal Dolan. I, for one, support him, and admire him. He is a blessed man, much like Pope Francis I.

May God bless and protect you on your journey your Eminence. I am greatly concerned that the widespread rejection of Catholic morality reguarding divorce, contraception, and sexuality is now being described as the sense of the faithful. The next great heresy will be an attack on morality, especially sexual morality. – Chesterton, 1926

Please continue to stand up for those of us who are desperately trying to practice our Catholic faith in an increasingly hostile world. I am praying for your health and sense of humor to help you continue this journey.

    Your Eminence, Cardinal Dolan,
Praising God for your role in the council of the Synod of Bishops. It is a blessing to have you there representing our country. May St. Michael the Archangel go before you protecting you from malicious attempts to harm your name and position as you serve. May you also travel safely with the angels. I ask that the Holy Spirit be your inspiration as you seek to share the wisdom and understanding needed in your role as Cardinal. Once again it was a blessing to meet you in Bismarck. I will be asking Judy’s intercession for you as you meet in Rome with Pope Francis that you may be a reflection of Jesus as you work with him and your fellow Cardinals, Judy’s first year anniversary is nearing. We have been spending time with Duane and are taking supper to him tonight. We will pray for you as we gather. Know that Marcel and I pray for you daily as you live out your vocation as priest and Cardinal. Respectfully in Him,

I agree with everything you said above, but take exception to the following line: “However, knowing how their attorneys operate, and some reporters here cooperate with them,” If the church had embraced victims of abuse rather than turning them away, things could have taken a very different path. I’ve known victims of abuse and abusers. It is a very sad situation, but I wish the church handled it more the way Christ would have and not by circling the self-protective wagons.

The tort lawyers are not trying to muddy your name. They are trying to shed light on the cover-up of heinous crimes. The timing of your actions led to the suspicion that you had acted improperly. True, nothing came of the accusations; however, that ruling was the outcome of the appeal. Judge Randa, who overturned the original ruling, has many family members interred in archdiocesan cemeteries which suggests a conflict of interest. He also never disclosed this fact, further questioning the impartiality of his ruling.
There is however, an important distinction between your contention that you acted properly and the judge’s ruling. It was deemed that your actions were legally protected by the first amendment to administer to your cemetery patrons’ religious beliefs. The moral implications of moving the money to deny restitution to the victims of sexual abuse was never addressed.

And to your last point, I find it troubling that you would mislead us. The recent decline in abortions is attributable to many factors; however, the major driver is access to contraceptives. There is plenty of evidence and numerous studies that conclude this (Here’s one– Most reasonable people agree that abortion is tragic; however, bringing a child into a family that cannot properly provide for its future is even more tragic. There are virtuous couples out there who are not “slaves to passion” and want to weigh the moral issues. They are entitled to know the truth, and I question why you would deceive them.

Thank you for the updates, Cardinal Dolan. Though I am from Texas, I try to learn what’s going on up there in the Big Apple. Just ignore the press about the possible unkind publicity you might get again. I think the media people are aware by now that they are losing a lot of followers, biased and unfair as they are. I have not been watching TV news or reading newspapers for as long as I could remember. Here’s praying that the consistory goes well.

    Your Excellence,
I wish you a very safe and productive trip to Rome. I’am a big fan of the Holly Father. Stay strong and stand-up to those who wish to bring you down. The powerful so called help groups i.e.Bishops Accountability and their lawyers pressure the abused victims to seek monetary satisfaction. Hence the law suits and negative notoriety directed toward yourself. I was fortunate to receive compassion and pastoral guidance from my bishop, the Archbishop of New York. Money is not the answer. When the need occurs, I think back to my face to face meeting with yourself and immediately feel peace. God bless and have a beautiful trip. Patrick

Please remember my son, Peter, in your prayers for healing from his ADHD, Aspergers and OCD. He is in his teenage years and I have been praying for healing and for him to come to know what God’s plans are for him for his future career. You are in my prayers as well for the strength to continue to be a Good Shepherd for all of us in the Catholic faith. I want to thank you for the Catholic Channel. My husband and I are able to participate in daily Mass because of it. Even though he is driving his car and I am getting my youngest ready for school, this is something we can share together (we text each other at the sign of peace)! What a wonderful way for us to continue to grow together in our faith! God bless you today and everyday!!

Has is ever occurred to you, that you are lucky to not be in prison? Your arrogance is absolutely astounding. Clerics like you are the reason I am no longer a Roman Catholic. No thought at all to the victims of priestly sexual abuse – just whining about being misunderstood. Have fun in Hell, after you leave this life!

Thank you Cardinal Dolan for protecting the Milwaukee assets from any legal claim or liability. You must be very proud of how Milwaukee is treating victims like me, who were repeatedly raped by clergy. We were called forward by the archdiocese for healing and resolution including fair compensation, only to be betrayed again. My family and I were profoundly hurt by your actions.
