I was totally in awe of your eulogy for Cardinal Egan. I have always wanted to hear you speak and see the church and I did today via TV. Personally I think you are very cool and would love someday to meet you but I don’t go into NYC. I am born and raised in NJ and brought up Episcopal but always have admire you. My niece is getting married in January and will be baptised on April 4th in the Catholic Faith, maybe I can convince her to take me to NY, I’m just a big scaredy cat of the city. Anyway I just thought I would let you know how much you have moved me.

    In Christ’s love,
    Caryl Diana

I was a good friend to Cardinal Edward Egan. I remember visiting with him for lunch at 1022 First Avenue and how he made me feel so welcomed in his busy day at work.
His beautiful deep voice during his homily at mass seemed to talk right to your heart and soul. I will remember in my prayers all of the Egan and Costello family during this difficult time and I am so honored to have known such a wonderful and humble priest. I know he is in heaven already preparing his next homily.
