With all of New York, the Archdiocese of New York joins in mourning the passing of our beloved Rusty Staub. Known as a great baseball player and teammate, Rusty was also a great philanthropist, who did so much to support Catholic Charities, Catholic schools, and our Catholic food pantries and food distribution programs.
Spring seems to be fighting to arrive! Winter still seems to have us in its death grip. Please God, by the time you read this, it will be warm, bright, and green. Spring will have conquered! But, as I pen this in the middle of this week we call holy, Winter still has us in a chokehold.

I’m writing this on Wednesday’s “snow day.” We’ve had quite a few recently. People like “snow days.” The joy we experienced as children when we heard, “no school, a snow day” still is the case. Usually, I catch-up on mail and phone calls.
