Renewed welcome and Easter blessings! Today I want to preach about rocks. My theory is that Jesus didn't like rocks - why you may ask? Allow me to explain. Rocks are hard and impenetrable, but not for Jesus Jesus is the rock breaker.
We are grateful for those who unite with us in prayer, both at Saint Patrick's Cathedral and online today. Why in the world would we call this day Good Friday? I talk about that in my homily from today's Mass.
As we see from Lazarus in this morning's reading, we should not be surprised that those who are friends of Jesus and bring other people to believe in Him can be singled out for harassment and criticism or persecution in some parts of the world.
